Interesting Facts -

James T. Alford was discharged due to sickness on Nov 21, 1862 and his final statement was given.  He died 3 days later from rubella in a hospital in Tullahoma, TN.  The discharge papers state that he was sick since the Battle of Corinth (April 29-May 30, 1862). He is one of only 4 Confederates from South Carolina buried in the (Confederate) Maplewood Cemetery in Tullahoma, TN.
