Interesting Facts -

Promoted to 2nd Lieutenant from 3rd Lieutenant on July 19, 1861. In 1865 he was shot accidently by friendly fire in Conwayborough, South Carolina while defending the town from deserters who were rumored to be planning an attack on the town. He was taken to his house on Main Street where he died from his wound.
