Interesting Facts -
Jeremiah and his father enlisted and served together. He was promoted 2nd Corporal in 1864; POW, captured at Deep Bottom (Folley’s Mill) on August 14th 1864; arrived at Point Lookout on August 22, 1864; paroled at Point Lookout and sent to Aiken's Landing for exchange March 14, 1865. He married Urilla Booth in 1865. At the death of his father he was appointed Magistrate and served 18 years, served on Board of County Commissioners for several years, elected to the State Legislature for six years. At his death, he was Magistrate of Cool Springs, S.C. and Pension Commissioner for Horry County.
