Interesting Facts -

Daniel Rabon was one of several brothers that served in the Civil War. He enlisted in Company A, Tucker's Cavalry on April 21, 1862 at Pawley's Island, S.C. He was assigned to Company B on April 8, 1863, and was on that roster when it became Company F, 7th S.C. Cavalry. Daniel was one of 14 Privates sent to Horry District to arrest conscripts and deserters in Sept.-Oct. 1863. He was wounded in the left thigh with a mini ball at Riddell's Shop June 13, 1864, and was in Jackson Hospital June 13-16, 1864. He was among the last Confederate Troops to withdraw from Richmond in 1865.
