Richard Bushrod Singleton enlisted for Confederate military service at the age of 16.

He was captured April 5, 1865 around Southside Road, Va. Imprisoned at Point Lookout, Maryland. Signed the oath of allegiance and was released June 20, 1865. He walked home from Maryland.
