Emeline (Coles) Crawford

Mrs. Emeline Coles Crawford, 71, died in the Columbia Hospital July 8, 1959. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Crawford was the widow of William Hall Crawford. A native of Danville VA she was a daughter of the late Ella Mosley Coles and John Edmund Coles. She had lived in Columbia for the last eight years as a member of Trinity Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Surviving are a sister Mrs. Frances G. Burroughs; two nephews Franklin Burroughs and John E. Coles, and a niece, Miss Annette Coles, all of Conway and a great niece Mrs. Emeline Cannon, Columbia.
John Edmund Coles, father of the above, moved to Conway with his family from Virginia about the turn of the century, and engaged in the tobacco warehouse business. Children in the family were:
Frances who married Arthur Burroughs
Emeline known as EM who married William Hall Crawford.
John Edmund Jr. who married Miss Winnie Holliday.
