Your petitioner Lucretia Causey the widow of Zebadee Causey and S. H. Singleton his son
in Law showeth that the said Zebadee Causey departed this life intestate on or about the 17th day of October AD 1865 that his estate both Real and personal was in an unsettled condition and for the better administering and and preserving the same estate to the heirs and creditors this application is made that you grace letters of administration to the said Lucretia Causey and S H Singleton and your petitioners will ever pray.

You are hereby required to be and appear at the Court of Ordinary, to be holden at Conwayboro for Horry Disrict on the 13? day of April A. D. 1868, to show cause, if any you can, why the Real Estate of Zebadee Causey deceased, situated in said district, on Wacamaw? River + on the Georgetown Road adjoining the lands of Jehu Causey Z. J. Causey _______? containing Two Hundred and seventy acres ___________? should be sold or delivered: allotting to the above mentioned Heirs, their distributive share thereof, either in money or in land, according to the law in such casesmade and provided.
GIVEN under my Hand and Seal, this 16th sixteenth day of March in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and Sixty Eight and in the 92 year of American Independence.
